Community Education presents its annual Summer Activities Fair where parents may choose from a variety of summer programs for their children. Representatives from area organizations will be on hand with the information you need, all in one place!
New Day Community Choir is holding open auditions for ages 12 to 65. All ages will be considered for future events. “First Round auditions” will be Tuesday, April 24th, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Barren River Lake State Lodge, 1149 State Park Rd, Lucas, KY 42156.

The Public Theatre of Kentucky’s Sunburst Youth Educational Outreach proudly presents Miss Nelson is Missing. Performances Thursday-Saturday will be at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday’s will be at 3 p.m. All ages are welcome!

Hospice of Southern Kentucky operates the area’s only 10 bed in-patient facility known as the Hospice House. They also care for patients in their residence, at a nursing home, or at an assisted living facility.
Join this all you can eat pancake breakfast on April 28th from 7:00-10:00a.m. All proceeds go to the Arms of Mercy food pantry!!! There is no cost, but please bring a donation.

The SKy Science Festival Expo Day is a family friendly festival celebrating science that includes demonstrations, investigations, games, music and food. Admission is FREE. The festival is held at Circus Square Park, 601 State Street, Bowling Green, KY, on April 28, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Come play and have a blast!

7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.
Before you go to the courthouse lawn, begin your day with a time of corporate worship and prayer in the Owensboro Family YMCA gym (900 Kentucky Pkwy, Owensboro, KY 42301).
Circle of Good News Bible Reading
11:30 a.m. – 11:50 a.m.
Participate with hundreds who read assigned Bible verses simultaneously so that in 20 minutes the entire Bible will be read aloud. Get your assigned reading upon arrival at the base of the courthouse lawn flagpole. Bring your umbrella in case of rain. No pre-registration necessary, and if you can’t attend, receive a passage to read from your location by signing up at www.facebook.com/owensboronationaldayofprayer.
Noon Prayer and Worship Event
12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Don’t miss this glorious time of prayer, praise and testimonies on the courthouse lawn! If it rains, meet in the courthouse.
The Franklin community will be participating in the National Day of Prayer with a Circle of Good News. Everyone will gather at 11 a.m. to distribute the scriptures to be read aloud at 11:30. This will be followed by a time of prayer and devotion.
Come out to the First United Methodist Church, and bring your Bible, lunch, and a friend! Devote a portion of your day to this time to pray for our nation, state, and community. The entire event will take approximately 90 minutes.

This tournament honors the memory of David Heard, an avid fisherman from our community, and it helps bring healing to those who love and miss him. There is a scholarship in David’s name at WKU awarded to members of WKU’s Bass Fishing team, who will also participate in the tournament.
Prizes are awarded for 1st and 2nd Place and for Big Bass. Lunch is provided, and there will be a raffle with prizes. You can also participate in an auction with items including 4 Grand Ole Opry Tickets and Backstage Tours, an acoustic guitar autographed by Brad Paisley, and 2 tickets to a Luke Bryan concert plus 2 meet-and-greet passes.
