Kentucky Christian Writers Conference @ Grace Heartland Baptist Church | Elizabethtown | Kentucky | United States

The 21st Annual Kentucky Christian Writers Conference announced 2017 event will take place at Grace Heartland Church June 22-24, 2017.
The theme for the 2017 conference is Cookin’ Up A Story, and is designed to help writers of faith stir knowledge, wisdom and community into the story God desires to write with them. The conference includes classes covering fiction, non-fiction and the business side of writing. It is tailored to all writers from beginners to seasoned professionals and open to the public for registration.

“The Kentucky Christian Writers Conference is a wealth of inspiration, encouragement, networking, and training at an unbelievable price,” said Hannah R Conway, KCWC Faculty Chair and Best-Selling Author of The Wounded Warrior’s Wife, Wedding a Warrior, and Elizabethtown, KY native. “As an author, I have to say how honored I am to know that this quality of a conference is being offered in my hometown of Elizabethtown, and a blessing to be a part of planning it. To come back home, and bring my passion for writing with me in a way that trains up other writers, is unbelievably exciting!”

The keynote speaker will be Twila Belk, best known as ‘The Gotta Tell Somebody Gal’. She is the author of Raindrops from Heaven: Gentle Reminders of God’s Power, Presence and Purpose; The Power to BE: Be Still, Be Grateful, Be Strong, Be Courageous (forthcoming in summer, 2017); and the co-author of multiple volumes with renowned author Cecil Murphey.

A faculty of nearly a dozen outstanding writers and speakers will cover such topics as: The Four Ds of Story Structure, Discovering Everyday Devotions, Social Media for Authors, Create a Marketing Plan, Writing and Editing Toolkit, Creating a Cookbook, Songwriting, Elements of Humor, Basic Characterology and more. In addition, participants will have an opportunity to sit in on three panel discussions with agents and editors, fiction writers and non-fiction writers. One-on-one appointments with faculty, agents and editors are also available on a first-come, first-served basis.
