The annual Birdies for Brittney Golf Tournament takes place to honor the memory of Brittney Gorman Parrish.

Parish passed away four years ago at the young age of 28 due to an unexpected cancer, leaving her family, husband and 9-month-old daughter.

All proceeds from the event go to her foundation and their non profit partner this year, the Barren River Area Child Advocacy Center. The foundation gives scholarships to high school students who are planning on attending Western Kentucky University.  The tournament was sold out with 220 players. Doug Gorman, Brittney’s father, says they raised over $100,000 this year.

Hope House Ministries exists to alleviate physical and spiritual poverty through gospel restoration. Poverty is much bigger than lacking material things. Poverty is rooted in broken relationships with others, with ourselves, and ultimately with God. Our goal is to help people see that only the restoring power of the gospel can truly overcome their poverty.

The Center for Courageous Kids is a not for profit medical camp facility founded by the late Ms. Elizabeth Turner Campbell and opened in 2008.

She was inspired to create a place where children living with life threatening illnesses and their families could come free of charge and have fun, find respite, feel normal and forget about their everyday struggles.

Now in its 12th year, CCK has served over 35,000 medically fragile campers and their families. Campers have come from 45 different U.S. States and 13 foreign countries. CCK continues to change the lives of thousands of children and families every year.
