A New Time for Focus on the Family in the morning

We’re grateful to air Focus on the Family each weekday and continue our partnership in sharing wisdom and encouragement for families. The topics this program addresses are relevant, thoughtful, and needed—and we’ve heard from many of you how helpful it’s been over the years.

As Christian Family Radio has evolved into a station that’s primarily music-driven, we’ve been evaluating how to best serve you. After conducting listener research—including focus groups and surveys with nearly 300 participants—it became clear that our audience expects uplifting music and friendly conversation, especially to start the day.

While the content of Focus on the Family is important, some episodes—especially those dealing with sensitive topics like sex and sexuality, abortion, and human trafficking—can catch listeners off guard when aired right in the middle of the morning commute. For example, a few recent broadcasts addressed these subjects in ways that, while valuable, felt jarring for some tuning in during morning commute or school drop-off.

With that in mind, Focus on the Family will now air at 6:00 AM starting June 9, 2025. This new time gives space for meaningful discussion while preserving the musical flow and tone of the rest of the morning show. The evening broadcast will continue to air at its normal time of 6:00 PM.

We’re not removing the program—we’re just moving it to a time that better fits your expectations and allows the content to shine in a more appropriate setting.
