Bowling Green, KY – August 8, 2025 – Christian Family Radio, is honored to announce its nomination as a finalist for the prestigious “Station of the Year” award from the Kentucky Broadcasters Association (KBA).
This recognition highlights CFR’s commitment to delivering high-quality programming while making a lasting positive impact on the community. The KBA’s “Station of the Year” award honors excellence in every area of broadcasting. This nomination showcases CFR’s heart for connecting listeners with hope-filled content while shining a light on local organizations making a difference.

We believe media has the power to strengthen communities and bring people closer together. For 39 and a half years, we’ve been on the air—and through it all, our listeners have been nothing short of amazing.!”
The “Station of the Year” award is part the annual Excellence in Broadcasting Awards. The winners will be announced at the annual gathering of Kentucky broadcasters at the Owensboro Convention Center in Owensboro, KY Sunday, September 14, 2025.
Christian Family Radio has been serving South Central Kentucky and beyond since 1986. In addition to inspiring music, CFR features programs like Focus on the Family, interviews with CCM artists, conversations with regional leaders, and stories from local non-profits.
This nomination adds to a growing list of accolades, including KBA’s own “Station of the Year” award in 2021, Bowling Green Daily News “Best Local Radio Station” in 2023 and 2024, and “Best Radio Personality” for Derek Gregory in 2024.
