Pathfinder Preview Night to be held at the college’s main campus located at 1845 Loop Drive in Bowling Green, KY. The event is scheduled for April 24th, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Pathfinder Preview Night is tailored primarily for high school seniors seeking information about the educational opportunities available at SKYCTC. However, the event is open to all individuals interested in discovering all the advantages that the College offers.

Attendees will have the invaluable opportunity to engage directly with SKYCTC’s admissions team, program advisors, instructors, and financial aid personnel. Prospective students can explore the diverse range of majors offered at SKYCTC and gain insights into earning an associate degree to kickstart their careers or seamlessly transfer to a four-year institution to complete their baccalaureate degree, all while benefiting from significant cost savings.

High school seniors will particularly benefit from learning about dual credit transfer scholarships such as the Merit and DC2Finish scholarship programs, designed to support their educational journey at SKYCTC.

Representatives from over 30 SKYCTC majors and services will be present to address queries from both students and family members, providing comprehensive guidance and support throughout the decision-making process.

As part of this year’s event, the financial aid department of the college will host their annual Spring Cha-Ching session, which provides invaluable information and support to students and their families regarding financial aid opportunities and scholarship options available at SKYCTC. Financial Aid Specialists will be available for one-on-one consultations, assisting attendees in understanding and navigating personalized aid packages.

Furthermore, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship, which covers 100% of tuition costs for eligible students, as well as merit scholarships offered by SKYCTC.

What is the FAFSA Application?

FAFSA stands for the “free application for federal student aid,” and it’s the first step in determining a student’s eligibility for a variety of student aid programs, including free grants, college work-study, student loans, and even some scholarships.

Students who plan to attend college in Fall 2025-Spring 2026 will need to submit the 2025-2026 FAFSA application, available at https://studentaid.gov/. First-time applicants will need to create an account on the https://studentaid.gov/ website first. Once they log in, they can access the FAFSA application. Dependent students will be inviting their parents to contribute some information to the FAFSA. So at least one parent will need to create an account with Federal Student Aid.

Join us for a night of fun that makes a difference in our community! Cooking for Hope is Hope House’s annual fundraising event that supports our ministry year-round. The event features a meal, a silent auction, a cooking competition between teams of local pastors, and encouraging impact stories from Hope House.

Our goal is to raise $75,000 to support our mission to alleviate physical and spiritual poverty through gospel restoration. Proceeds from Cooking for Hope help provide faith-based education, transportation, workforce development, addiction recovery, and financial empowerment programs.

Community and church members have donated items to be given to others in our area. We have clothing, shoes, what-nots, toys, small appliances, and household items. Everything is free to whomever wants it. This event is held every spring usually in the month of May. We’ve asked for donations of items that can be used by our youth, they will be getting out of school for the summer, and also items to help people that are having a hard time, such as household items and small appliances. Donations will be accepted up until May 9th (lovelynab@yahoo.com or 270-935-5110). We accept items in a condition that someone else could get some use from.

Bring Your Kids for a Special Day!
First responders, essential workers, and large equipment will be available for children to touch, climb on, and learn about. Drivers will be on hand to answer questions.
The first two hours of the day (8:30-10:30 a.m.) are reserved for families with special needs, medically complex, or low sensory children and adults. This will allow for slower paced exploration and quieter play.

Local food trucks and kids activity stations will be available throughout the day! Free water, snacks, and sunscreen for all attendees.

Greetings friends and neighbors of Ohio County, Kentucky. As we are organizing an annual event at the Ohio County Park and Fair Grounds called “Gospel Fest in the Park”we need your help to make this event a success.
