Empowered Aging Resource Fair

Older adults, caregivers, family members, and anyone planning for the future are invited to attend the Empowered Aging Resource Fair, a free community event designed to provide valuable information, trusted resources, and expert guidance on important aging-related topics.

The event will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at First Christian Church, 1106 State Street, Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Attendees will have the opportunity to visit with local professionals and community organizations offering information on:
• Medicare and healthcare options
• Wills, trusts, and estate planning
• Aging and caregiver resources
• Community programs and services
• Planning for healthy and informed aging

The agenda includes a seminar from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on “Making Sense of Medicare and 2027 Medicare Changes” by Janet McCay Martin, a NAPIB Medicare Certified insurance agent. John Dotson of Kentucky ElderLaw will be speaking from 11:00-12:00 on “ElderLaw & Estate Planning: Protecting Your Future”
“We want people to leave feeling more informed, empowered, and connected to resources that can help them navigate the challenges and opportunities that often come with aging,” said Bernice Forte AARP Bowling Green/Warren County Chapter 1967 President and event organizer.
