This was a great movie about the power of community, the impact of media, and what you can accomplish if you refuse to accept “no” as an answer. This true story is worth watching!

Great Movie, Hilary Swank is powerhouse force of nature, until she realizes she’s trying to ‘do it all herself’. The movie is inspired by true events, and comes across a little bit strong, due to trying to pack the story into a movie’s length, but definitely a great movie … somebody must’ve been eating onions a couple of times with their popcorn … but it’s a great mix of laughter and seriousness … you’re on the edge of your seat, EVEN THOUGH YOU KNOW WHAT THE OUTCOME already is… That’s a great movie, getting you involved in the story.

I love that this is not only based on a true story, but it’s a Kentucky story! The movie is authentic and relatable, featuring characters who are struggling to live out their faith in the real-world. The story and actors portrayal were not plastic Christianity. It was real and raw, but so beautiful. You witness Sharon (Hilary Swank) and Ed (Alan Ritchson) make mistakes, have doubts, and sometimes fail…but they never give up. It’s full of heart, but certainly has many humor filled moments!
