Empty Bowls of Bowling Green, KY

Empty Bowls is sponsored by the St. James United Methodist Church that works to provide food to our friends and neighbors in need of assistance and to raise awareness of the hunger problem in our community.

The event is on Tuesday, March 6th and will be hosted by the Forest Park Baptist Church at 520 Old Morgantown Road between 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be reserved here: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/2025-empty-bowls-2

This is the 12th Empty Bowls event that St. James has sponsored. For a $15 donation, people attending can see the bowls and receive a meal of soup, bread, and dessert. In addition, each person will get to choose one of the handmade bowls to take home with them. Not only will the bowl make a beautiful addition to their home, but it also is a reminder that they helped provide food to someone facing an empty bowl at mealtime.

All money raised at the event is donated to HOTEL INC and to the Synergy Center, two local charities that work to provide food to those in need in our community.

They expect to have 600+ bowls at the event, 100 of which will be made by WKU students.
