Beginning Acting and Improv Theatre class

BEGINNING ACTING AND IMPROV THEATRE will be starting May 15th at Community Education, 1227 Westen Street, Bowling Green. No experience is necessary. It will be intergenerational, ages 11 to 99, which turned out to be an exciting mix last time. It’s $40 for 7 weeks, Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:30. Registration is limited. Although the curriculum will still include basic improvisation techniques and games, we will be doing scenes rather than monologues in this class. I find monologues handy and I think students should have one or two good ones ready to trot out for auditioning. But scenes are often more fun to work on, and allow for more in-depth coaching. We will, however, add some audition techniques to allow students to prepare for local theatre production auditions. I always love teaching this class and its generally lots of fun.
