I can’t express how much your station has blessed me in my desert. I keep it on constantly- in my car and in my house, even when I’m not there. I want to constantly have my ears open to whatever God has to tell me and keep my focus on Him. Like Janice, who shared so beautifully, the “Build a Boat” song has also been a big encouragement to me, but from a slightly different view. My desert has been filled with lonliness as a single parent, mental health struggles, financial difficulties, and newly discovered physical illness. I so often start to doubt God’s love and goodness and wonder if this is all He has for me and my children. The rain in that song has symbolized God’s blessings and the good and perfect plan that I trust that He has for me. Even though I can’t see any of it right now, I trust that the rain is coming. That He will be with me in this dry place. And while I’m here, I’ll work on building my boat in faith, so I can be ready when He sends the rain. God has used your station mightily to keep me afloat. (Pun intended.) 😀

I love listening to you guys, anytime me and my fiancé are in the car together we always have you on and I just really enjoy hearing him sing along to the songs you guys play. Thank you for giving me the little moments in life to enjoy! I am so blessed to be living the life I am.

A couple of years, or so, ago I donated through spring pledge drive. When I came in the station to pick up my T Shirt (a life transformed, I think was the theme), I shared a prayer request with the team. My husband had been church hurt, life hurt and was just a bitter man. He felt every church was full of hypocrisy. Bridgette prayed over our situation and I left with two t-shirts, however I told the ones there that my husband would never wear the shirt. Fast forward to April 2023, when my husband was diagnosed with advanced stage 4 colorectal cancer. In the weeks that followed, we had time to pray, ask forgiveness from God and each other. On July 23, 2023 we both recommitted our lives to Christ and were baptized in the most beautiful lake. God hasn’t stopped there, my husband reconciled with his high school best friend, his mom and we now attend Christ Covenant Church in Morgantown, every Sunday that he feels well enough to go. He takes chemo every other week and we make the most of the time we have left. Christian Family Radio plays in the car and for someone who only liked hymns, I hear my precious husband humming along. I thank God for His faithfulness and thank you all for praying, when I had all but lost hope. God is still in the miracle working business. If you’re praying for spiritual healing, don’t stop! For years I had prayed Ezekiel 36:26 over my husband “Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”, but Jesus had to soften my heart in order to heal my husband’s heart. We give Jesus all honor, glory and praise for our Lives Transformed!

I started listening to the station as a new Christian when it was known as WCVK. The Friday and Saturday night rock music appealed to me, and ‘CVK’ became my station. Over the years, while I still like a good, gritty, rock, southern, or bluegrass Christian song, true praise and worship has become my genre. I want to praise HIM! When life is good, praise Him! When life is hard, praise Him! When songs like Revelation Song by Philips Craig and Dean or Heart of the Father by Ryan Ellis (to name only a couple of many) come on the air, they stop me in my tracks. They keep my focus on the Father, and on Jesus. The more I bless God with praise the more He blesses me with joy and peace. Thank you, staff of CFR for being a tool in the Father’s hands, helping to keep me focused on Him!
