Joel Smallbone and Daisy Betts pour their hearts into the roles of David and Helen, making you feel every triumph and struggle as if it’s your own. But what really gets you is the raw authenticity of it all. You can’t help but cheer for this family as they face curveballs with unwavering faith and love. The movie is a reminder that even in our darkest moments, there’s always hope shining through. This one’s a must-watch!

It was great! Another classic movie with flashbacks to ‘my time’. I knew some of the story of the Smallbone family, but not this much detail; it definitely told the story well, about the family’s faith, and by extension, Rebecca’s as I got to meet both David and Rebecca when they came to the station the first time.

Loved this movie. I was so awed by the bravery of this mom, and it really made me realize how tenacious a mother’s encouragement and love is. The title says it all, so many times the result we see has decades of challenges that the unsung hero refused to bow down or give up.  I appreciate how we know more about the CCM industry too, the good and the not so great.  They told this part of their story with honor.

I am so glad they did this movie, you think the story is going to be about ‘for King & Country’ and it is but it is about why they are the special, creative, determined talented people that they are.

The layers of perspective in this film will resonate with all audiences.  You will find yourself relating to some aspect of every character, and in the end, you’ll be inspired to trust God more even in the midst of complex relationships and circumstances.  Understanding the family dynamics of the Smallbones’ is going to give all new meaning to songs we’ve loved for years.  You’ll see the trailer and think you are coming to the biography of For King and Country, but you’ll leave with a whole new appreciation of how God demonstrates his love and power using your family.

**The script and cinematography of this movie is some of the highest caliber I’ve seen for a Christian film.  Hollywood has a new challenger.

Excellent movie, I can’t wait to take others to go see it! It moves the heart…It’s an incredible story of family, faith, and trust in the Lord. You see the family dynamic as they take a huge leap of faith and overcome the challenges of a life unknown. It showcases the strength of a Mother, the overall vulnerability of being a parent, and most importantly the love of a Father. By the end, you feel as though you’ve walked alongside the characters, and you can’t help but cheer!

5/5 Aimee

It’s a beautiful story that shows the power of a family’s faith and the struggles they overcame as they lived it out. David Fishbone and his family left their home in Australia and came to America in hopes of finding success promoting other Christian artists not realizing that one day he mange his children. Gods’ plans are good and always on time. This movie demonstrates that we sometimes we have to walk through the dessert before we find the Promise Land.
