Event Details
SouthCentral Kentucky Community & Technical College is hosting several FAFSA Workshops to help students with financial aid. All workshops will be held on the main campus of Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College in building J, room 144A and room 102.
What is the FAFSA Application?
FAFSA stands for the “free application for federal student aid,” and it’s the first step in determining a student’s eligibility for a variety of student aid programs, including free grants, college work-study, student loans, and even some scholarships.
Students who plan to attend college in Fall 2025-Spring 2026 will need to submit the 2025-2026 FAFSA application, available at https://studentaid.gov/. First-time applicants will need to create an account on the https://studentaid.gov/ website first. Once they log in, they can access the FAFSA application. Dependent students will be inviting their parents to contribute some information to the FAFSA. So at least one parent will need to create an account with Federal Student Aid.
For more information, please contact the SKYCTC Financial Aid office at (270) 901-1006. We’d love to help them complete the FAFSA and answer any questions they may have. So please reach out to us.
