Happy 94th Birthday, Mrs. Anne!

BOWLING GREEN, KY – If you’re a frequent customer of the Scottsville Road Chick-fil-A, then you’ve more than likely met Mrs. Anne Mimms — a beloved hostess and local celebrity in her own right.

This week, Mrs. Anne celebrated her 94th birthday, and instead of her usual place quietly serving others, she found herself at the center of the celebration. A line of friends formed inside the restaurant, each one waiting to take a picture with her, share well wishes, and present her with thoughtful gifts. The dining room felt more like a family reunion than a fast-food restaurant.

But even with all the attention, Mrs. Anne never missed a beat.

As guests gathered to celebrate her, she continued doing what she has faithfully done for years — serving. Moving from table to table, she made sure every guest felt seen and cared for.

“May I get you anything?”
“Do you have enough sauce?”
“How’s your meal?”

At 94 years young, she may be celebrating a milestone birthday, but she has no plans of slowing down.

When asked about the secret to a long life, Mrs. Anne’s answer was rooted in what matters most.

“Number one,” she said, “have your kids in church. Knowing your children have a personal relationship with the Lord eases the mind.” Her faith has been her anchor, and she believes the peace that comes from seeing your children walk with God is priceless.

Her second piece of wisdom is just as heartfelt: “Have good quality family time together. You can never go wrong with that.” To Mrs. Anne, strong family bonds and intentional time together are gifts that carry through every season of life.

Customers say her grace and compassion are what make her unforgettable. Over the years, she has become part of countless family traditions, celebrations, and everyday lunches.

Co-worker and former CFR Intern, Abby Shipley joked that she often has “fans” stop-in to meet her. She’s a huge part of the experience for those who walk through the doors. For many guests passing through Bowling Green, it’s not just about the food — it’s about Mrs. Anne.

At 94, Mrs. Anne continues to prove that a life built on faith, family, and serving others leaves a legacy that stretches far beyond a dining room.

If you haven’t yet had the pleasure of meeting her, she welcomes you to stop by the Scottsville Road Chick-fil-A and say hello. Chances are, you’ll leave encouraged — and maybe even a little wiser.
