Granting Gabe’s Wish: Ben Fuller’s Biggest Little Fan.

February 14th was more than just Valentine’s Day for Gabe—it was a dream come true. For many young people, seeing their favorite artist perform live on stage is magical but getting to meet them is something they can only wish for. But for Gabe, a brave young boy who has been fighting cancer, that dream became a beautiful reality. With the help of his Aunt Aimee, Christian Family Radio, and SKYPAC, Gabe was able to attend Ben Fuller’s performance at the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center (SKYPAC) in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Learn More About Gabe

Gabe, a 9-year-old from Tennessee, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. During his numerous hospital visits and treatments, Gabe’s family played Christian radio to lift his spirits. That’s when Gabe first heard Ben Fuller’s music. His love for Fuller’s music grew from his connection to the inspiring lyrics. Each song spoke to him about hope, resilience, and love—values that became a beacon throughout his ongoing battle with cancer.

Gabe’s Aunt Aimee is on staff at Christian Family Radio, and she often would share updates on his condition and ask us to pray. Until one day she shared a video of Gabe singing along to his favorite song “Who I Am” by Ben Fuller.

Knowing it would brighten his day, Christian Family Radio reached out to Ben’s team to see if he could send Gabe an encouraging video. With no surprise, Ben did!

Gabe was ecstatic, only deepening his bond with Ben and his music.

How The Wish Was Granted

So, when the announcement came that the “Let It Begin” Tour was coming to Bowling Green with Ben Fuller. It was his Aunt Aimee who coordinated with CFR and SKYPAC to ensure Gabe got a ticket.
